Your Quote, Tippy Toes,Cool Quilty Things,Your Color Fix for Today

Your Quote for Today
I thought I would begin with a quote today. How many times do we "think" about what our dreams are? Perhaps we write them in a journal or tell our friends. Time passes, it passes much to quickly if we don't at least begin a tiny step towards making our dreams come true. So today, think about your dreams or goals and then take some kind of little action to at least start the ball rolling!
TIPPY TOES
I love teaching this class ( well, I love them all), but I love watching my students get that peaceful, relaxed feeling that comes over them. I don't know what makes fairies "extra" special, but they don't allow anxiety or stress come through the class room door. All they allow is fun, laughter and imagination....

I love show and tell after a workshop. I love it most when the class is so excited to show their projects and here is one of my students putting in some last mitue applique stitches to her quilt top in order to show her at the guild's show and tell! This San Antonio, TX guild has some great ladies and the quilts I got to see were "WOWZERS!!!" All I could do was say" WOW!"
And here she is...all finished up and ready to show!

I was treated so well, my program chair showed me some great places in San Antonio. We went to the bar where the film "Michael" with John Travolta was shot....if you remember, towards the end, John Travolta is dancing with those big wings! And we wnet to The Alamo and The River Walk. (pics below)

COOL QUILTY THINGS
THE PEACE WALL
"Holding Grandmothers Quilt" East Wall was painted by Mr. Gensler with assistnace from people in the community. According to Mr. Ellis. Improvement in the neighborhood has prompted a local developer to plan 52 new homes, 2 of which are rising across the street from the murals. Each mural in the city costs about $25,000 to paint.

Don't you just love this painted table that has this quilt theme on it??? Makes me want to paint quilts now!
What a great way to make shades!! I love it and of course we all know that the designs are endless. I stamp this "green" a great way to use up scraps!
