How many rotary cutters do you own? I really want to know! In my organizing frenzy, I have learned that I own 14 rotary cutters. How ridiculous is that? Thankfully 6 of them will be going to new homes, to new quilters and I will return my rotary cutters after using them to their new designated place in my sewing room!
At the bottom of today's blog post, leave a comment and let me know how many you own!

Do you know who makes the Superbowl trophy? The people behind it?
Well...I do and one of these amazing people is MY DAD
My dad, a silversmith for Tiffany & Co. played an integral part of making the Superbowl trophy for 38 years. Imagine being given a blob of silver and transforming it into a world known symbol for the Superbowl game millions watch every year! My dad is the silver haired man second from the left. One of the great things I got to do was go to Tiffany's every year and hold the Superbowl trophy and get my picture taken with it. Here's a little secret.....the initials of this team are secretly (well not so secret now) engraved inside!

Still focusing on the organizing and redoing of my office/studio and I am really pleased how it's turning out. Oh believe me....it has been an eye opener from the beginning. I found out a few things about myself. I "over-collect" things. Things like greeting cards, scissors, rotary cutters, office supplies....well you get the idea. I feel that since I now have a place for everything and knowing what I have, this will avoid mis-spending and over collecting. Finally!!! These pics are just the new things that have happened since my last few postings of pictures of the office-makeover. Keep tuned to my blog...there is still more to do in here...stay tuned!
Click on the scissors and it will take you to a website that has sewing related cabinet knobs just like these scissors!
ODE TO THE BELOVED TOMATO PIN CUSHION
With all the craze of making pincushions, I wanted to revisit our old friend, the original tomato pincushion. She is still alive and "very" red!
You will find my older posts at the very very bottom of the page.....keep looking, keep scrolling down...you'll find it!

Nice to see pictures of your dad. I zoomed in to be sure I knew which one he was. I amd not going to say. Others can guess or look for themselves. I already knew the answer to your trophy question from years of fun times with you. Have a great day, Debbie Caffrey
Go Colts!
You got me to thinking, of course, so I pulled out all my rotary cutters and discovered I had 7 of the dang things, 3 non-ergo, non-self closing and 4 of the others.
4 rotary cutters
good grief Linda, this is almost embarrassing...I found 10 rotary cutters! Big ones, little ones, mediums, straight blades, wavy blades, plain handles, pretty handles. Surely there is a 12 step program, lol!
Two! No, wait...three...four. But I only use two of them. No, wait. I use three of them. The fourth is pretty, but redundant, since it's the same as #2, but silver. However, I will admit that I've been eyeing the ads that tout the new, easier to change blade mechanism on the yellow-handled one. I'll resist, though, since I love my ergonomic one that I bought in Paducah when the charming, young, cute guy demoed it. I do love a good demo.
Hi,
I have 5 rotarycutters, not so bad isn't it?
Love to read your blog, I enjoy the colors.
greetings from the Netherlands.

HI Linda,
Love your blog, great information but I am going to have to claim the 5th on the rotary cutters! LOL I am amazed at how organized your studio is!
I am so happy to know who created the SUPER BOWL TROPHY... he is a good man...
I have 4...one that needs to be pitched, one that I don't like, and 2 that I use (1 big, 1 small blade)...plus I have a few specialty blades that I just change out when I want to use them. Would be nice I guess to have them permanently loaded up, but I don't use them that often.
I have 8 (eight) rotary cutters!
That count is just the opened ones.
I have 4 hanging on the wall still in their packages. All the sellers need to do is make a new color or say that the profits go to a charity and I am a buyer!!!
Way to go on the sewing room/studio makeover.
Subee
Only 3 rotary cutters, but I won't post how many packs of blades for them that I found!
Wow, I am so jealous. Do you want to come visit to help me clean my sewing room like that? It definitely needs it...except I can't begin to image what I would do with the stuff I have stacked here...and there...Bonnie B
Just found your blog - thanks TQS!! What a wonderful, fun blog. I "only" have 7 rotary cutters. Oh my!!
LOVE the pincushion pics! I have about 6 tomato pincushions - only because people keep giving them to me!
I now have 11 rotary cutters - but in all honesty, I recently pitched 2 of them - one because I just didn't like the way it didn't work, and one because it was worn out.... and I won a new 60mm rotary cutter recently, which I love using, so the others are now jealous!
Thanks everyone for leaving a comments....it brightened my day!
That is so neat about your Dad and the trophy, and that you have been able to hold it! I only have 4 rotary cutters, 2 the same, one mini, and one for pinking. I love the pincushion photos, they make me smile. Have a great day. The studio looks marvelous darling!
I have 9 rotary cutters. I gave a few away a couple months ago. I don't know how you find, or have time to find, such wonderful photos!
I can think of 6 off the top of my head, but I bet it I go look there maybe a few others hiding in there. Now I am afraid to go look.
